Colorado Shootings & Mental Health: Interview with a Psychotherapist

Here is an interview with David, a Colorado licensed psychotherapist in the Denver area who has counseled survivors of four of Colorado’s major shootings over the past 20 years, beginning with Columbine High School in 1999, followed by the Aurora Theater shooting in 2012, Arapahoe High School just a year and a half later in 2013, and the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting on May 7th of this year, 2019. Upon this backdrop of tragedies, David shares a few of his experiences of the past and some insights on how to move forward.

(As per the Challenge-Digital Ethnography, this is an interview with a close relative, but we decided it best not to reveal his identity, even though he does not actually share sensitive information. The interview ends at exactly 20:00, so please disregard the remaining 7 sec.)
